Anna University is ready to begin the ‘admission mela’ for the current year 2013 to the new generation of higher secondary students. Students are advised to look only the official website of Anna University (http://www.annauniv.edu/) frequently and know the details of important dates for application and counselling, reservation, format of required certificates and other formalities.

Now they uploaded the format of Nativity Certificate in their website, students who are need to submit the certificate, download and attach with your application.

Another important concession of first graduate tuition fee exemption, format of the application is also available in the official portal of Anna University. The terms of the concession is, ‘Who are to be first graduate in a family, those who are attending counselling and joined in professional courses in Government / Aided and Self-Financing Engineering Colleges alone are eligible’. (If the applicant’s brother or sister has already availed First Graduate Tuition Fee concession for studying Professional Courses, then the applicant is not eligible for such concession). Eligible students download the application and attach with their application without fail.

Special Reservations has also been granted in the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions 2013 : The special reservation can be availed by the students who only belongs to Tamil nadu.
The special reservation are...
1. Son / Daughter of Ex-Serviceman
This certificate shall be issued by an Officer of the Department of Ex-Servicemen's Welfare Board of Tamilnadu not below the rank of Assistant Director Ex-Servicemen's Welfare Board of the District in which the dependent is a NATIVE.

2 Son / Daughter of Freedom Fighters   
This certificate should be obtained from a Revenue Officer not below the rank of Deputy Tahsildar.

3. Medical certificate for Orthopedically Differently Abled persons
Candidates with permanent Physical Impairment 40% and above are eligible for consideration under reserved quota.

4. Medical certificate for Hearing Impaired
Candidates with hearing ability 40 db and above only in the better ear with speech discrimination score of 50% and above are eligible for consideration under reserved quota.

5. Medical certificate for Visually Impaired
Candidates with low version of 40% Impairment and above are considered as disabled and are eligible for consideration under reserved quota.

Age restriction for availing LTC to son and daughter regarding...

What is the age of dependent son and daughter for LTC claim...? Is there any rule for unmarried dependent children are eligible to avail Leave Travel Concession or dependency is the only criteria..? Generally says that the female children are eligible upto marriage and male children are eligible upto age of twenty five. And one more view that the age limit for children in case of LTC should be same as for CGHS facility. According to the CCS (LTC) Rules, 1998, there is no indication of age, "Family" definition is given in the rule, "two surviving unmarried children wholly dependent on the Government servant, irrespective of whether they are residing with the Government servant or not". There is no age limit for availing LTC for the wholly dependent son or daughter.

Mini Bus Scheme in Tamil Nadu : The transport services provided by the Government to the public is increasing day by day. More than 18,000 buses are operated through out the State. These facilities are available in rural, semi-urban and urban areas. Apart from this public transport system, recognizing the need to provide public transport facilities to the people of unserved or inadequately served , semi-urban and rural areas, the Government introduced the " Mini-bus Services Scheme " to be operated by private individuals from 1997. Considering the benefits of this scheme ' Government modified this scheme in 1999 enabling operations of Mini Buses in the rural areas for a total distance of 20 kms, with an overlapping distance of 4 kms on the served sectors .
