AICPIN Points on the Ascent Again..!

AICPIN Points on the Ascent Again! Previously, it was announced that the AICPIN points for the month of April will be released on the 30th. But the Labour Bureau and PIB didn’t release the statistics of AICPIN on that day. Instead of releasing the detailed information transparently in their official websites, the departments chose to unveil the number with an air of secrecy. We had managed to find the number and had published them. Countless people had benefitted from it (Press Release given below).

Consumer Price Index Numbers for Industrial Workers (CPI-IW)- February 2014 Press Information Bureau Government of India Ministry of Labour & Employment 01-April-2014 11:47 IST Consumer Price Index Numbers for Industrial Workers (CPI-IW)- February 2014 According to a press release issued by the Labour Bureau, Ministry of Labour & Employment the All-India CPI-IW for February, 2014 increased by 1 points and pegged at 238 (two hundred and thirty Eight). On 1-month percentage change, it increased by 0.42 per cent between January, 2014 and February, 2014 compared with the rise of 0.90 per cent between the same two months a year ago. The largest upward pressure to the change in current index came from Miscellaneous group contributing 0.34 percentage points to the total change. At item level, Rice, Wheat, Moong Dal, Fish Fresh, Goat Meat, Milk (Cow & Buffalo), Pure Ghee, Medicine, Barber Charges, etc. are responsible for the increase in index. Expected DA from July 2014 - AICPIN for the month of Feb 2014 According to the press release of Labour Bureau, Consumer Price Index (Industrial Workers) for February 2014 increased by one point and pegged at 238 from the existing level of 237. AICPIN for the month of December 2013 Consumer Price Index Numbers for Industrial Workers (CPI-IW) December 2013 According to a press release issued by the Labour Bureau, Ministry of Labour & Employment the All-India CPI-IW for December, 2013 declined by 4 points and pegged at 239(two hundred and thirty nine). On 1-month percentage change, it decreased by 1.65 per cent between November and December compared with the rise of 0.46 per cent between the same two months a year ago. The largest downward pressure to the change in current index came from Food group contributing -4.96 percentage points to the total change. At item level, Onion, Ginger, Chillies Green, Brinjal, Cauliflower, Cabbage, Peas, Tomato, Potato and other Vegetable items, Sugar etc. are responsible for the decrease in index. However, this was compensated to some extent by Fish Fresh, Eggs, Hen, Poultry, Milk, Pure Ghee, Garlic, Firewood, ESI Contribution, etc. putting upward pressure on the index.  ...

Expected DA from Jan 2014 - Additional DA from Jan 2014 likely to hike by 11%  The one more and another additional Dearness allowance to Central Government employees and Pensioners from Jan 2014 will be announced in the middle of March 2014. This is too early and predict the enhancement in percentage of Dearness allowance with effect from January 2014. The prediction and announcement of this hike make us cool, that the additional DA will jump to 101% and another word, an additional DA would be 11%. But, still we have to wait for one more month, that the magic number of AICPIN would be increased by 3% and more..! On 1-month percentage change, it increased by 1.26 per cent between September and October compared with 0.93 per cent between the same two months a year ago. INFLATION The annual rate of inflation, based on monthly WPI, stood at 6.10% (provisional) for the month of August, 2013 (over August, 2012) as compared to 5.79% (provisional) for the previous month and 8.01% during the corresponding month of the previous year. 10% Dearness allowance and 3% Increment from July 2013…   Central Government employees will get ten percent Dearness allowance from July 2013 and also will get three percent annual increment from the same date.   Expected DA from July 2013 : AICPIN for the month of May 2013 Expected Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief from July 2013 : Central Government employees and Pensioners will get one more installment of additional DA and DR from July 2013 will be 10%, as per the release of AICPIN for the month of May 2013. DA increased only 65% instead of 152% - Confederation

DA increased  only  65%  Price raise in last 6 years is 152%  Confederation of Central Government Employees and Workers Secretary General Shri.K.K.N.Kutty has explained through a letter to all his comrades, which is published on its official blog that the they have prepared a compartive chart of the price of 14 commodities,  which go into the computation of minimum wage.   Placed there-under is the computation of the Minimum wage on the basis of the prices of the requisite articles as in January, 2012.  It could be seen there-from that while the prices on an average registered an increase of 152% the DA compensation had only been 65%.
