50% DA MERGER - Impact of merger of 50% DA with basic pay   Any possible to convert 50% of dearness allowance to dearness pay..!   Everyone's pointing fingers at "Parliament Election"...! 50% DA MERGER 50% of dearness allowance had been merged with basic pay for Central Government Employees and Pensioners with effect from 1.4.2004. This was followed the recommendation of 5th Central Pay Commission and the Union Government had decided to merge 50% of dearness allowance with basic pay and issued orders on 1.3.2004.  (61% - 50% = 11%) 50% of dearness allowance merged with basic pay and remaining 11% had been issued as normal dearness allowance with effect from 1.1.2004.

LDC-UDC ISSUE-YET ANOTHER LETTER FROM DEPARTMENT OF EXPENDITURE Dear friends, I give hereunder the copy of the  letter received from the Department of Expenditure on the issue of upgradation of grade pay of LDC & UDC. A similar letter addressed to FA, DoPT with copy to Shri M Krishnan, Secretary General Confederation has been posted in this web site on 30th November. Association's view was that  the LDC & UDC are common cadres and spread over the entire Government of India offices and as such upgradation in a particular Department or some Departments through cadre restructuring  is not possible. As such with the support of Confederation our Association had decided to file a case so that the upgradation of Grade Pay to these cadres may get w.e.f. 1.1.2006. And the preparation for filing the case is under progress and we expect the same would be filed by 1st week of March. NPS News - Pending amount under NPS with Delhi Cantonment Board NPS News - Pending amount under NPS with Delhi Cantt. Board 94 employees joined service in Delhi Cantonment Board on or after 01.01.2004 and are covered under New Pension Scheme (NPS). However, NPS was implemented in respect of Cantonment Board employees from 01.04.2011 after obtaining approval of the Central Government. All employees have been covered under Tier-I scheme. Tier-II scheme is optional and no employee of the Board has opted for Tier-II. The Cantonment Board has deposited the due amount of 85 employees (both employee’s and employer’s share). In the case of 9 employees who have not subscribed part of their share for the period from the date of their joining to 31.03.2011 amount to the extent subscribed along with the contribution of the employer has been deposited with the NSDL.
