REGULAR PROMOTION – MACP UPGRADATION – PAY FIXATION Recently, a reader’s query was published in Swamy’s News publication.  “After getting one promotion under ACP or MACP, and a subsequent regular promotion, will the employee qualify for another pay fixation?” This was the question’s summary.  An employee is given promotion under MACP only if he/she didn’t get any, under Regular Promotion. The pay is fixed based on 3% increment and Grade Pay difference. So, when regular promotion is given, the pay is revised only if there is a difference in the grade pay. 

Expected DA Jan 2014 10% Additional Dearness Allowance to CG Staff and Pensioners - Cabinet will decide in this moth itself..! In the month of September, may be in second week, the most anticipated news for more than fifty lakh Central Government employees and thirty lakh Central Government Pensioners, the second installment of additional Dearness allowance with effect from July 2013 would be declared by the Cabinet Committee. As per the calculation recommended in 6th CPC, with the inputs of AICPIN (IW) for 6 months from January to June, to compensate price hike in the essential commodities there should be provided ten percentage of additional Dearness allowance form July 2013. Dearness Allowance is not only for Central Government employees..! It is a practice which has been followed till now that once in six months, according to the price index ,the rate of DA is being granted in the month of march and September for Government servants. It is not only now, the interest to know the rate of dearness allowance granted twice in a year has been there for the past several years.
