JAN 2013 DA orders published by Finance Department of Rajasthan Grant of DA and DR to State Government employees and pensioners of Rajasthan - Orders published for 80% Dearness allowance with effect from 1.1.2013 for Rajasthan State Government Employees. It is a movement of immediate reflection to the existing employees and the pensioners of Rajasthan State Government, an additional dearness allowance enhanced by 8% from the existing level of 72% effective from 1.1.2013, the announcement which followed the Union cabinet's decision on DA hike to Central Government employees and pensioners yesterday. The state government has decided immediately to release additional dearness allowance by 8% to its employees and pensioners. Central staff have to wait for D.A Central Govt. employees have to wait for a few more days for Dearness Allowance. The P.M is currently on a tour to Germany and cabinet meeting is most likely to be on the next week. The approval of D.A. from January 2013 is already delayed for some weeks for different reasons. There is strong rumors that due to possible merger, the decision is being delayed but we could not ascertain the news from any reliable source so far. It is not expected that in the present financial situation, Govt. will not like to take additional burden of merging D.A., when there is specific negative recommendation of sixth CPC in this aspect. The D.A. due from 1.1.2013 is 8% and it will take the total to 80%. Dearness Allowance from January 2013 - 6CPC Recommendation As of now nobody knows the correct reason why the government is delaying the approval of DA hike from January 2013. Actually the delay in announcing the dearness allowance helps the people speculate more about the Governments Plan about whether the 50% DA will be merged or not. Latest DA News : DA approval likely in the next Cabinet meeting Central Government employees and Pensioners are in great disappointment mood due to the lack of decision on additional dearness allowance. The announcement of hiking DA was expected on Monday, but the agenda has been deferred due to non availability of Finance Minister in the Cabinet meeting. Usually the decision takes in the second week of March and September, this time, it is still pending. The Cabinet Committee meeting may be held on Thursday, we hope while in the meeting on Today, the agenda will be taken for the decision by the committee. After approval, necessary orders may be issued immediately by the Ministry of Finance. The enhanced percentage of 8% from basic pay and the total DA will become 80% instead of 72% from January 2013. Employees will get the arrears on retrospective effect from 1.1.2013, i.e., for the months of Jan, Feb and March.

Cabinet Committee likely to approve DA today As per reliable sources that the Union Cabinet Committee likely to approve the Finance Ministry proposal to hike the Dearness allowance and Dearness relief by 8% today. An another additional Dearness allowance from Jan 2013 to all Central Government Employees and Pensioners is expected to declare by the Central Government on 2.4.2013, after the Union Cabinet approval. The agenda is expected to be approved by the committee today in the afternoon. Nearly 50 lakh employees and 30 lakh pensioners will get the benefit by this hike with minimum of Rs.560 per month.
