Cabinet approval on DALeading Newspapers gives green signal to approve DA today

Reeling under the inordinate delay, nearly fifty lakh Central Government employees and Pensioners are likely to get approval eight percent hike in Dearness allowance today.

The proposal to hike in the Dearness allowance from 72% to 80% to CG Staff and Pensioners, the Cabinet Committee may approve the agenda to increase Dearness allowance in its meeting scheduled for Thursday, sources said.

Early the Finance Ministry issued authentic orders to release enhanced payment at revised rates on DA to all ministries/departments to all eligible employees...

Age restriction for availing LTC to son and daughter regarding...

What is the age of dependent son and daughter for LTC claim...? Is there any rule for unmarried dependent children are eligible to avail Leave Travel Concession or dependency is the only criteria..? Generally says that the female children are eligible upto marriage and male children are eligible upto age of twenty five. And one more view that the age limit for children in case of LTC should be same as for CGHS facility. According to the CCS (LTC) Rules, 1998, there is no indication of age, "Family" definition is given in the rule, "two surviving unmarried children wholly dependent on the Government servant, irrespective of whether they are residing with the Government servant or not". There is no age limit for availing LTC for the wholly dependent son or daughter.

Mini Bus Scheme in Tamil Nadu : The transport services provided by the Government to the public is increasing day by day. More than 18,000 buses are operated through out the State. These facilities are available in rural, semi-urban and urban areas. Apart from this public transport system, recognizing the need to provide public transport facilities to the people of unserved or inadequately served , semi-urban and rural areas, the Government introduced the " Mini-bus Services Scheme " to be operated by private individuals from 1997. Considering the benefits of this scheme ' Government modified this scheme in 1999 enabling operations of Mini Buses in the rural areas for a total distance of 20 kms, with an overlapping distance of 4 kms on the served sectors .
