Payment of Dearness Allowance to Central Government employees - Revised Rates effective from 1.1.2014 – FINANCE MINISTRY No.1/1/2014-F-II (B) Government of India Ministry of Finance Department of Expenditure North Block, New Delhi Dated: 27th March. 2014 OFFICE MEMORANDUM Subject: Payment of Dearness Allowance to Central Government employees - Revised Rates effective from 1.1.2014. The undersigned is directed to refer to this Ministry’s Office Memorandum No.I-8/2013-E-II (B) dated 25th September, 2013 on the subject mentioned above and to say that the President is pleased to decide that the Dearness Allowance payable to Central Government employees shall be enhanced from the existing rate of 90% to 100% with effect from January, 2014.

Central Government Employees Group Insurance Scheme – 1980 – Tables of Benefits for the savings fund for the period from 01.01.2014 to 31.12.2014. Ministry of Finance issued a new table of benefits for the savings fund of CGEIS for the period from January 2014 to December 2014. Two different type of tables are given in the order, one is describes the benefit amount for the subscribers contribute Rs.10 upto 1989 and after Rs.15. The another maturity amount indicated in the table for the employees contributed Rs.10 throughout their service. Interest rate on General Provident Fund (GPF) 8.7% from 1.4.2013 Interest rate on General Provident Fund (GPF) is lowered from 8.8% to 8.7%. As per the Finance Ministry resolution published today, Central Government employees will get less interest from the General Provident Fund (GPF), the new rate of interest will be 8.7% for the current financial year of 2013-14. The order said that ‘during the year 2013-2014, accumulations at the credit of subscribers to the General Provident Fund and other similar funds shall carry interest at the rate of 8.7% (Eight point seven per cent) per annum. This rates will be in force during the financial year beginning on 1.4.2013’. The funds concerned are :- 1. The General Provident Fund (Central Services). 2.
