Interest on Excess Tax  - Interest on IT Refund The Income Tax Act 1961, stipulates that refund to a taxpayer shall include interest on excess collection of taxes, as under: i.In case of processing of the return of income: From 1st April of the Assessment Year to the date of processing of return, and ii.In case of giving effect to appellate orders etc: From the date/s of payment of excess tax to the date of giving effect to the appellate order. 151 Employees State Insurance (ESI) Hospitals in India The Minister of Labour and Employment has given reply to a question about the ESI Hospitals in the Parliament on 4.3.2013 as follows... Total number of Employees State Insurance (ESI) Hospitals in the country including those run by the State Governments is 151. The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation has approved setting up of 23 new hospitals in the country. While the proposal for setting of ESI hospital at Perumbavoor in Kerala have been approved in the 159th Meeting of ESI Corporation held on 08.02.2013, no new hospital is proposed to be set-up at Kuppam (Andhra Pradesh). Details of the 23 new hospitals approved by the ESI Corporation along with proposed capacity and present status is at Annex.-I. 925 MW for Tamil Nadu from Kudankulam Nuclear Power plant

More than one year the Minister said again and again the project will run within this month, this time in the month of April project will commission and generate electricity, said in the Parliament. All efforts are being made to commission the units 1 & 2 of Kudankulam Nuclear Power project by April 2013 and October 2013 respectively. The power from Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant to the beneficiary states in the southern Electricity Region has been allocated by the Ministry of Power in line with the prevailing guidelines.
