925 MW for Tamil Nadu from Kudankulam Nuclear Power plant

More than one year the Minister said again and again the project will run within this month, this time in the month of April project will commission and generate electricity, said in the Parliament.

All efforts are being made to commission the units 1 & 2 of Kudankulam Nuclear Power project by April 2013 and October 2013 respectively.

The power from Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant to the beneficiary states in the southern Electricity Region has been allocated by the Ministry of Power in line with the prevailing guidelines. The details in this regard are as under :

Government  has also  agreed to consider providing additional 100 MW power to Tamil Nadu.

Age restriction for availing LTC to son and daughter regarding...

What is the age of dependent son and daughter for LTC claim...? Is there any rule for unmarried dependent children are eligible to avail Leave Travel Concession or dependency is the only criteria..? Generally says that the female children are eligible upto marriage and male children are eligible upto age of twenty five. And one more view that the age limit for children in case of LTC should be same as for CGHS facility. According to the CCS (LTC) Rules, 1998, there is no indication of age, "Family" definition is given in the rule, "two surviving unmarried children wholly dependent on the Government servant, irrespective of whether they are residing with the Government servant or not". There is no age limit for availing LTC for the wholly dependent son or daughter.

Mini Bus Scheme in Tamil Nadu : The transport services provided by the Government to the public is increasing day by day. More than 18,000 buses are operated through out the State. These facilities are available in rural, semi-urban and urban areas. Apart from this public transport system, recognizing the need to provide public transport facilities to the people of unserved or inadequately served , semi-urban and rural areas, the Government introduced the " Mini-bus Services Scheme " to be operated by private individuals from 1997. Considering the benefits of this scheme ' Government modified this scheme in 1999 enabling operations of Mini Buses in the rural areas for a total distance of 20 kms, with an overlapping distance of 4 kms on the served sectors .
