Cancellation of Three More Trains Due to Derailment of a Coach of Kanyakumari-Howrah Express Between Sri Venkateshwarapalem and Kavali Stations Due to derailment of front SLR (Second Class Luggage cum Brake Van Coach) of T.No. 12666 Kanniyakumari-Howrah Express  between Srivenkateswarapalem and Kavali stations o­n Gudur-Vijayawada section of Vijayawada Division of SCR o­n 22nd, September, 2013,  the following trains are cancelled. 1. T.No.57238Vijayawada– Kazipet Passenger, scheduled to leaveVijayawadaat 12.45 hrs o­n22.09.2013(Today) is cancelled. 2. IRCTC Refund : Train Ticket Refund Claims The Railway Ministry explained the current rules and status of refund claims and steps will be taken for speedy refund of reservation tickets, cancellation of untraveled or partially travelled journey tickets to the passengers in the Parliament as follows... "Refund on the unused tickets are given as per provisions contained in Railway Passengers (Cancellation of ticket and refund of fare) Rules, 1998 notified vide Gazette Notification No. G.S.R. 410(E) dated 24th July, 1998 and amended through Gazette notification from time to time. Refund cases are processed by the railways on a daily basis and the refunds are granted after due verification of the claims. It is a continuous process. Approximately 90,000 cases are pending with the Railways at present. Where the ticket issuing and journey commencing stations are the same and in cases where they are different (like return/onward tickets), the ticket should be surrendered at the journey commencing station within the following limits :- DISTANCE OF YOUR JOURNEY TIME LIMIT FOR CANCELLATION (AFTER THE SCHEDULED DEPARTURE OF THE TRAIN) UP TO 200 Kms. 3 Hrs. 201 TO 500 Kms. 6 Hrs. Revised Cancellation Charges on Confirmed and RAC, Waiting List Tickets from 1.4.2013. The Clerkage charges and Cancellation charges have been revised w.e.f 1st April, 2013. This has been announced in the Railway Budget 2013-14.
