Consumer Price Index Numbers for Industrial Workers (CPI-IW)- February 2014 Press Information Bureau Government of India Ministry of Labour & Employment 01-April-2014 11:47 IST Consumer Price Index Numbers for Industrial Workers (CPI-IW)- February 2014 According to a press release issued by the Labour Bureau, Ministry of Labour & Employment the All-India CPI-IW for February, 2014 increased by 1 points and pegged at 238 (two hundred and thirty Eight). On 1-month percentage change, it increased by 0.42 per cent between January, 2014 and February, 2014 compared with the rise of 0.90 per cent between the same two months a year ago. The largest upward pressure to the change in current index came from Miscellaneous group contributing 0.34 percentage points to the total change. At item level, Rice, Wheat, Moong Dal, Fish Fresh, Goat Meat, Milk (Cow & Buffalo), Pure Ghee, Medicine, Barber Charges, etc. are responsible for the increase in index. Expected DA from July 2014 - AICPIN for the month of Feb 2014 According to the press release of Labour Bureau, Consumer Price Index (Industrial Workers) for February 2014 increased by one point and pegged at 238 from the existing level of 237. EXPECTED DEARNESS ALLOWANCE FROM JULY 2014 This is the first thing that all Central and State Government employees alike would eagerly like to know! We are the first to calculate and write about ‘Expected DA’. We have been meticulously doing this task for the past five years. Without fail, we publish all the relevant information pertaining to DA, which is given twice every year (January 1, and July 1). It is our practice to calculate these numbers on the basis of certain indicators. Dearness Allowance is calculated entirely on the basis of price rise and inflation. Of utmost importance for the calculation is the AICPIN (All India Consumer Price Index). Labour Bureau, a Government agency releases these figures each month.

Expected DA from Jan 2014 - AICPIN for the month of August 2013 Expected DA from Jan 2014 - AICPIN for the month of August 2013 updated in the official portal of Labour Bureau... Two points raised in the important statistics of Consumer Price Index (Industrial Workers) for the month of August, 2013. A press release has been issued by the Labour Bureau yesterday that the CPI (IW) Base Year 2001=100 raised from 235 to 237 in the end of August 2013. As the result of increasing in AICPIN by two points, the Dearness allowance is also hiked from 92.28 to 93.93.
