Dopt issued guidelines to register home town address for new entrants of Central Government Employees to avail the benefits of Leave Travel Concession in Government Service… Declaration of Home Town under LTC Rules Every new entrants in Government service is required to declare his / her home town to avail the benefits of Leave Travel Concession. 2. The term “Home” was defined for the first time in MHA’s O.M.No.43/1/55-Estt (A) Part-II dated 11th October, 1956. This was further clarified vide O.M.No.43/5/57 dated 11th February, 1958, wherein, it was stated that An Officer who is his own Controlling Officer for purposes of travelling allowance should make the initial or any subsequent declaration of his town to his next superior administrative authority for acceptance. Retirement on first month of Block years - LTC is permissible or not..?

Retirement on first month of Block years - LTC is permissible or not..? Yes, permissible. Employees are retiring from their service on the first month of block years, they will be eligible to avail LTC. The only condition is the return journey should be completed with in the date of retirement. For example, an employee will be retire on 31st January 2014. He will be eligible to avail LTC in the month of December 2013 to go with Home Town LTC or All India LTC and he will also be admitted to avail an another LTC in the month of January 2014. But he should be completed his returned journey before 31st January 2014.

Relaxation for LTC Air Travel to visit J&K for further two years

Extension for Air Travel to visit J&K for further two years through LTC CG Staff will enjoy the concession with their family members to visit J&K by air through conversion of Home Town LTC.  Central Government employees,those who are not availing this concession to visit Jammu and Kashmir by air, this is one more good opportunity to enjoy the beautiful places of the state with spending of less money.   As per the orders issued by the Dopt recently, the relaxation for Leave Travel Concession travel to visit Jammu & Kashmir is extended for a further period of two years with effect from 18th June, 2012. Last month Government has already extended to travel by Air to North East Region on LTC for further two years with effect from 1st May, 2012.  Travel by Air to continue to be in Economy Class only, irrespective of the entitlement of the officer.
