LTC Rules : Home Town - Any place in India – Two year block year and Four year block year
HOME TOWN : Home town means the city or village or any place declared by the Government employee and accepted by the competent authority. Admissible to all employees irrespective of the distance involved. Home town address once declared is treated as final. Competent authority may authorize to change the address of declared Home Town only once during entire service. Concession allowed once in a block of two years 2010-11, 2012-13 and so on. A Government employee (married or unmarried) can avail Home Town for himself alone every year, in such cases the employee will not eligible to avail any place of India LTC. Fresh employees who have appointed after 1.1.2004 are allowed to travel to their Home town along with their families on three occasions in a block of four years and to any place of India on the fourth occasion.
ANY PLACE IN INDIA : Any place of India will cover any place in the mainland or overseas, i.e., Andaman & Nicobar Islands, L & M Islands etc., including the home town of the Government employee. Concession allowed in lieu of one of the two home town LTC in a block of four years. The current block year is 2010 –13. The last date for commencement of the outward journey is 31-12-2014 (including grace period of one year). Family members can travel in one or more batches.
TWO YEAR BLOCK YEAR : Concession is allowed once in a block of two calendar years. The block is counted from 1956-57 and the current block is 2012-13.
FOUR YEAR BLOCK YEAR : LTC admissible once in a block of four calendar years. The block is counted from 1974-77 and the current block is 2010-13.
