Lateral entry for B.E/B.Tech counselling dates announced by ACCET

Counselling dates are announced for the admissions through lateral entry for the courses of B.E/B.Tech…

Counselling for admission to direct second year B.E/B.Tech degree course will be started form 18th July, 2012.

Lateral entry counselling are being conducted by ACCET (Allagappa Chettiar College of Engineering and Technology). The counselling for B.E/B.Tech admission to direct second year for diploma and B.Sc students will be started from 18.7.2012 and it ends with 9.8.2012.
As per the schedule informed by the principal, for B.Sc students counselling will be started on 18th July and Diploma holders in Chemical, Textile and Leather Technology will be on 19.7.2012. The Civil diploma holders will be called for counselling between 20.7.2012 to 23.7.2012. For Mechanical students counselling will be held from 24.7.2012 to 29.7.2012. And finally from 30th July to 9th August, 2012 for the Electrical students is scheduled for counselling.

The call letters has been send to all candidates, while participate in the counselling all original documents should be presented.

Age restriction for availing LTC to son and daughter regarding...

What is the age of dependent son and daughter for LTC claim...? Is there any rule for unmarried dependent children are eligible to avail Leave Travel Concession or dependency is the only criteria..? Generally says that the female children are eligible upto marriage and male children are eligible upto age of twenty five. And one more view that the age limit for children in case of LTC should be same as for CGHS facility. According to the CCS (LTC) Rules, 1998, there is no indication of age, "Family" definition is given in the rule, "two surviving unmarried children wholly dependent on the Government servant, irrespective of whether they are residing with the Government servant or not". There is no age limit for availing LTC for the wholly dependent son or daughter.

Mini Bus Scheme in Tamil Nadu : The transport services provided by the Government to the public is increasing day by day. More than 18,000 buses are operated through out the State. These facilities are available in rural, semi-urban and urban areas. Apart from this public transport system, recognizing the need to provide public transport facilities to the people of unserved or inadequately served , semi-urban and rural areas, the Government introduced the " Mini-bus Services Scheme " to be operated by private individuals from 1997. Considering the benefits of this scheme ' Government modified this scheme in 1999 enabling operations of Mini Buses in the rural areas for a total distance of 20 kms, with an overlapping distance of 4 kms on the served sectors .
