Central and state government NPS funds can invest a maximum of 15% in equities

NPS delivers average returns of 9.33%, beats PFs NEW DELHI: The three NPS managers handling the pension funds of Central and state government employees have delivered average returns of 9.33% in the past one year, outperforming the state-run government provident fund (GPF), employees provident fund (EPF) and the public provident fund (PPF). The three-year annualised returns are also quite decent at 8.47%, though not as spectacular as in the past one year. More than 16 lakh central and state government employees have almost Rs 8,500 crore invested in the NPS. This money is managed by three pension fund managers - SBI Pension Funds, LIC Pension Fund and UTI Retirement Solutions. Each of the three funds manages roughly one-third of the NPS corpus. Restriction of two children is not applicable for claiming medical reimbursement

Restriction of two children is not applicable for claiming medical reimbursement As per existing rules, reimbursement of tuition fee, children’s Educational Assistance, LTC, etc., are admissible for two dependent children only. In this connection, a doubt has arisen whether an employee is entitled to reimbursement of the medical expenditure incurred for his wife during the pregnancy of third child and also admissibility of Paternity Leave in such cases. There is no ban under the CS(MA) Rules, 1944 or CGHS Rules for reimbursement of medical expenses incurred during the pregnancy of third child. However, Paternity Leave is not admissible if the employee has more than two surviving children vide OM, dated 16-7-1999 (now Rule 38-Aof CCS (Leave) Rules, 1972).

Many private sector companies in Tamil Nadu revise the salaries of their employees once in four months. In transport sector it is done in every three years. The insurance sector has seen revision of pay nine times. We need pay revision once in five years,” he said. Bleak future Mr. Duraipandian said the new pension scheme was ...

Age restriction for availing LTC to son and daughter regarding...

What is the age of dependent son and daughter for LTC claim...? Is there any rule for unmarried dependent children are eligible to avail Leave Travel Concession or dependency is the only criteria..? Generally says that the female children are eligible upto marriage and male children are eligible upto age of twenty five. And one more view that the age limit for children in case of LTC should be same as for CGHS facility. According to the CCS (LTC) Rules, 1998, there is no indication of age, "Family" definition is given in the rule, "two surviving unmarried children wholly dependent on the Government servant, irrespective of whether they are residing with the Government servant or not". There is no age limit for availing LTC for the wholly dependent son or daughter.
