Central Railway has informed to the passengers that 12 Special Trains between Sainagar Shirdi and Tiruchchirappalli - Bookings for 06805 open from 7.10.2013

12 SPECIAL TRAINS BETWEEN SAINAGAR SHIRDI AND TIRUCHCHIRAPPALLI

Railways will run 12 special trains between Sainagar Shirdi and Tiruchchirappalli to clear the extra rush of passengers. The details are as under:-

06805 Special will leave Sainagar Shirdi at 08.25 hrs o­n every Wednesday from 9.10.2013 to 13.11.2013 and will arrive Tiruchchirappli at 15.15 hrs next day.

06806 Special will leave Tiruchchirappalli at 16.00 hrs o­n every Monday from 7.10.2013 to 11.11.2013 and arrive Sainagar Shirdi at 03.25 hrs o­n third day.

Halts: Daund, Solapur, Wadi, Yadgir, Raichur, Manthralayam Road, Adoni, Guntakal, Gooty, Tadipatri, yerraguntla, Kadapa, Rajampet, Kodur, Renigunta, Puttur, Tiruttani, Arakkonam, Chennai Egmore, Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Villupuram, Vriddachalam, Srirangam.

Composition :- o­ne  AC-2 Tier, Two AC-3 Tier, 13 Sleeper Class, 2 General Second Class and 2 General Second Class cum Guard’s brake-vans.

Reservation: Bookings for 06805 open from 7.10.2013.

Age restriction for availing LTC to son and daughter regarding...

What is the age of dependent son and daughter for LTC claim...? Is there any rule for unmarried dependent children are eligible to avail Leave Travel Concession or dependency is the only criteria..? Generally says that the female children are eligible upto marriage and male children are eligible upto age of twenty five. And one more view that the age limit for children in case of LTC should be same as for CGHS facility. According to the CCS (LTC) Rules, 1998, there is no indication of age, "Family" definition is given in the rule, "two surviving unmarried children wholly dependent on the Government servant, irrespective of whether they are residing with the Government servant or not". There is no age limit for availing LTC for the wholly dependent son or daughter.

Mini Bus Scheme in Tamil Nadu : The transport services provided by the Government to the public is increasing day by day. More than 18,000 buses are operated through out the State. These facilities are available in rural, semi-urban and urban areas. Apart from this public transport system, recognizing the need to provide public transport facilities to the people of unserved or inadequately served , semi-urban and rural areas, the Government introduced the " Mini-bus Services Scheme " to be operated by private individuals from 1997. Considering the benefits of this scheme ' Government modified this scheme in 1999 enabling operations of Mini Buses in the rural areas for a total distance of 20 kms, with an overlapping distance of 4 kms on the served sectors .
