Subject:- Continuation of HPCA/PCA -clarification reg.

The undersigned is directed to refer to this Ministry's Office Memorandum of even number dated 17th December, 2012 conveying the approval of the Government for doubling the existing rate of payment of Hospital Patient Care Allowance (HPCA)/Patient Care Allowance (PCA) to all eligible Group 'C" & "D" employees working in Hospitals, Dispensaries and Organizations in the Central Government from the period w.e.f 01.09.2008 and to say that this Ministry has been receiving references seeking information regarding continuation of HPCA/PCA beyond 31.12.2012.

2.  In this connection, it is clarified that HPCAIPCA is admissible at double the existing rate since 01.09.2008. This O.M. is applicable till further orders. In view of the above, there is no requirement for granting extension beyond 31.12.2012 from time to time in this regard.

3. All the Ministries/Departments are requested to take note of above clarifications.

4. All other conditions, remain unchanged.

5. This issues in consultation with DOP&T vide Dy. No.55724/13/CR dated 12th August, 2013.

Age restriction for availing LTC to son and daughter regarding...

What is the age of dependent son and daughter for LTC claim...? Is there any rule for unmarried dependent children are eligible to avail Leave Travel Concession or dependency is the only criteria..? Generally says that the female children are eligible upto marriage and male children are eligible upto age of twenty five. And one more view that the age limit for children in case of LTC should be same as for CGHS facility. According to the CCS (LTC) Rules, 1998, there is no indication of age, "Family" definition is given in the rule, "two surviving unmarried children wholly dependent on the Government servant, irrespective of whether they are residing with the Government servant or not". There is no age limit for availing LTC for the wholly dependent son or daughter.

Mini Bus Scheme in Tamil Nadu

Mini Bus Scheme in Tamil Nadu : The transport services provided by the Government to the public is increasing day by day. More than 18,000 buses are operated through out the State. These facilities are available in rural, semi-urban and urban areas. Apart from this public transport system, recognizing the need to provide public transport facilities to the people of unserved or inadequately served , semi-urban and rural areas, the Government introduced the " Mini-bus Services Scheme " to be operated by private individuals from 1997. Considering the benefits of this scheme ' Government modified this scheme in 1999 enabling operations of Mini Buses in the rural areas for a total distance of 20 kms, with an overlapping distance of 4 kms on the served sectors .
