SR announced that the few trains are cancelled due to agitation in Andhra the following trains are cancelled on 7th October 2013…

TRAINS CANCELLED ON 7th OCTOBER 2013

In view of the strike in Andhra Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation o­n account of Samaikya Andhra agitation, the following trains are cancelled 7thOctober 2013.

1)Train No.12077 Chennai Central – Vijayawada Jan Shatabdi Express scheduled to leave Chennai Central at 07.00 hrs. o­n 07.10.2013.

2)Train No.57239 Chennai Central – Gudur Passenger scheduled to leave Chennai Central at 16.00 hrs. o­n 07.10.2013.

3)Train No.12711 Vijayawada – Chennai Central Pinakini Express scheduled to leave Vijayawada at 06.00 hrs. 07.10.2013.

4)Train No.57240 Bitragunta – Chennai Central Passenger scheduled to leave Bitragunta at 05.20 hrs. o­n 07.10.2013

Age restriction for availing LTC to son and daughter regarding...

What is the age of dependent son and daughter for LTC claim...? Is there any rule for unmarried dependent children are eligible to avail Leave Travel Concession or dependency is the only criteria..? Generally says that the female children are eligible upto marriage and male children are eligible upto age of twenty five. And one more view that the age limit for children in case of LTC should be same as for CGHS facility. According to the CCS (LTC) Rules, 1998, there is no indication of age, "Family" definition is given in the rule, "two surviving unmarried children wholly dependent on the Government servant, irrespective of whether they are residing with the Government servant or not". There is no age limit for availing LTC for the wholly dependent son or daughter.

Mini Bus Scheme in Tamil Nadu : The transport services provided by the Government to the public is increasing day by day. More than 18,000 buses are operated through out the State. These facilities are available in rural, semi-urban and urban areas. Apart from this public transport system, recognizing the need to provide public transport facilities to the people of unserved or inadequately served , semi-urban and rural areas, the Government introduced the " Mini-bus Services Scheme " to be operated by private individuals from 1997. Considering the benefits of this scheme ' Government modified this scheme in 1999 enabling operations of Mini Buses in the rural areas for a total distance of 20 kms, with an overlapping distance of 4 kms on the served sectors .
