7th CPC – Comparing with State Pay Commission

PAY COMMISSION - CENTRAL AND KERALA

BALACHANDRAN NAIR PK  is one of the best and regular viewer for my site. Most of the time he conveys his thoughts and points to my site. Recently he send one mail about pay commission in kerala govt and central govt.I publish his opinion below for my viewers.

Records are so. In kerala every fifth year, a pay commission is constituted and the benefits passed to the employees. Though they are few and the state is also small.but in the centre, who are liable to transfer anywehre in india, regardless of home town is getting in 10 years time with very difficult. In kerala nobody demanded for a pay commission.

But the cm himself announced it and appointed the commission. If the jcm just compare they pay scales of kerala employees and the central one can see that in kerala getting higher pay and perks while the work load is less posting near to home. So what about central govt employees. Working near to home is one of the heaven jobs one can not imagine. Kerala govt teachers are getting higher salary par with central school. Then what about the standard of students coming our from govt schools. In centre jcm functions where as in kerala trade unions of all political parties are on war foot to get unknown benefits from the govt.

Age restriction for availing LTC to son and daughter regarding...

What is the age of dependent son and daughter for LTC claim...? Is there any rule for unmarried dependent children are eligible to avail Leave Travel Concession or dependency is the only criteria..? Generally says that the female children are eligible upto marriage and male children are eligible upto age of twenty five. And one more view that the age limit for children in case of LTC should be same as for CGHS facility. According to the CCS (LTC) Rules, 1998, there is no indication of age, "Family" definition is given in the rule, "two surviving unmarried children wholly dependent on the Government servant, irrespective of whether they are residing with the Government servant or not". There is no age limit for availing LTC for the wholly dependent son or daughter.

Mini Bus Scheme in Tamil Nadu : The transport services provided by the Government to the public is increasing day by day. More than 18,000 buses are operated through out the State. These facilities are available in rural, semi-urban and urban areas. Apart from this public transport system, recognizing the need to provide public transport facilities to the people of unserved or inadequately served , semi-urban and rural areas, the Government introduced the " Mini-bus Services Scheme " to be operated by private individuals from 1997. Considering the benefits of this scheme ' Government modified this scheme in 1999 enabling operations of Mini Buses in the rural areas for a total distance of 20 kms, with an overlapping distance of 4 kms on the served sectors .
