Disbursement of salary/wages/pension to the Central Govt. Employees and Pensioners in the State of Kerala for the month of August, 2012 on account of ONAM festival.

Disbursement of Salary/Wages/Pension in advance to Central Government Employees/Pensioners in Kerala in view of the ‘ONAM’ festival. The Central Government have decided to issue in advance on 27th August 2012 that the salary/pension/wages of all Central Government employees and Pensioners in the State of Kerala for the month of August, 2012.

The Controller of General of  Accounts under Ministry of Finance issued an office order on 3rd August, 2012 regarding the above matter and the content of the office order is placed hereunder for the information...

OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Disbursement of salary/wages/pension to the Central Govt. Employees and Pensioners in the State of Kerala for the month of August, 2012 on account of ONAM festival.

        In view of the "ONAM" festival, the Government have decided that the salary of all Central Government Employees in the State of Kerala for the month of August, 2012 may be drawn and disbursed by the Central Government Offices (including Defence, Posts and Telecommunications) on 27th August, 2012.

2. The wages for August, 2012 of the industrial Employees of Central Govt. serving in the State of' Kerala may also be disbursed in advance on 27th August, 2012.

3. The pension for August. 2012 of all Central Government pensioners in the State of Kerala may also be disbursed by Bank/PAO's on 27th August, 2012.

4      The salary/wages/pension so disbursed is to be treated as advance payment and subject to adjustment after the lull month's salary/wages/pension of each employee/pensioner is determined. The recovery, if any, will be made without exception from the salary/wages/pension, as the case may be, for the month of September, 2012.

5. The concerned Ministries/Departments are requested to bring these instructions to the notice of their offices located in the Slate of Kerala for necessary action immediately.

6. Reserve Bank of India is requested to bring these instructions to the notice of all paying branches of all Banks located in the State of Kerala for necessary action immediately.

Age restriction for availing LTC to son and daughter regarding...

What is the age of dependent son and daughter for LTC claim...? Is there any rule for unmarried dependent children are eligible to avail Leave Travel Concession or dependency is the only criteria..? Generally says that the female children are eligible upto marriage and male children are eligible upto age of twenty five. And one more view that the age limit for children in case of LTC should be same as for CGHS facility. According to the CCS (LTC) Rules, 1998, there is no indication of age, "Family" definition is given in the rule, "two surviving unmarried children wholly dependent on the Government servant, irrespective of whether they are residing with the Government servant or not". There is no age limit for availing LTC for the wholly dependent son or daughter.

Mini Bus Scheme in Tamil Nadu : The transport services provided by the Government to the public is increasing day by day. More than 18,000 buses are operated through out the State. These facilities are available in rural, semi-urban and urban areas. Apart from this public transport system, recognizing the need to provide public transport facilities to the people of unserved or inadequately served , semi-urban and rural areas, the Government introduced the " Mini-bus Services Scheme " to be operated by private individuals from 1997. Considering the benefits of this scheme ' Government modified this scheme in 1999 enabling operations of Mini Buses in the rural areas for a total distance of 20 kms, with an overlapping distance of 4 kms on the served sectors .
