National Anomaly Committee Meeting held to be held on tomorrow National Anomaly Committee Meeting to be held on tomorrow to review the pending agendas as informed earlier in this blog. In the last NAC meeting, which was held on 5.1.2012, could not be discussed all agenda items and the meeting had to be postponed. As already informed to all JCM Members of Staff Side, the meeting is going to be held in committee room No.119, North Block, New Delhi at 3.00 P.M on 17th July, 2012. All Central Government employees are expecting to resolve their problems in this meeting, certainly our leaders will do their level best. We will update the result of the meeting, as and when received.

Central Schools Scheme – 2nd Central Pay Commission recommended… The second Central Pay Commission report submitted in 1959, in its report the commission has strongly recommended that the Central Government should encourage the growth of Education Schools with a common syllabus and medium of instruction for the benefit of the children of Central Government employees liable to frequent transfers as well as other floating population in the country. Finally the Union Cabinet approved the Central Schools Scheme on the 20th November, 1962. The central schools scheme had envisaged that the management and property of the Central Schools should be transferred to an Autonomous Body, which would receive grants from the Government of India. In pursuance of this and also the recommendations of the Inter-departmental Committee, the Central School Organization (since renamed as Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan) was registered as an Autonomous Body under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, on the 5.1...

In the case of the overtime allowance payable otherwise than according to the statutory provisions, the Third Pay Commission have made the following recommendations... Where the system of overtime work continues, the period of overtime should be calculated on a weekly basis and overtime allowance should be made admissible only if the work put in during a working week of six days exceeds 48 hours, in reckoning these 48 hours, the period allowed for meal breaks should be included. In the Government Presses, where the prescribed weekly hours are less than 48, the work done between the prescribed fours and the weekly norm of 48 hours is compensated in the form of overtime allowance at double the time rate.
