10% Dearness allowance and 3% Increment from July 2013…   Central Government employees will get ten percent Dearness allowance from July 2013 and also will get three percent annual increment from the same date.   Expected DA from July 2013 : AICPIN for the month of May 2013 Expected Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief from July 2013 : Central Government employees and Pensioners will get one more installment of additional DA and DR from July 2013 will be 10%, as per the release of AICPIN for the month of May 2013. Though the requirement of one more month of AICPIN for June to finalise the enhancement of Dearness allowance, there is possible to get 90% Dearness allowance and Dearness Relief from July 2013. Shortage of staff in Postal Department - Minister replied in Lok Sabha On 8th May 2013, there was a unstarred question in Lok Sabha, regarding the details of abolition of posts in Postal Department during the period from 2005 to 2008. The Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology Dr.Killi Kruparani replied as follows... The details of abolition of posts are placed at Annexure-I. The reasons for abolition of posts were in accordance with Department of Personnel & Training OM No. 2/8/2001-PIC dated 16.5.2001 vide which the Scheme of Optimization for Annual Direct Recruitment Plan was launched. As per this Scheme, the direct recruitment was to be limited to 1/3rd of the direct recruitment vacancies arising in a year subject to a further ceiling that it does not exceed 1% of the total sanctioned strength of the Department. Central government employees’ retirement age to be extended by 2 years to 62 - Financial Express “An In-Principle decision has been taken to increase the retirement age by two years within this year itself…” The government is planning to extend the retirement age of all central government employees by two years — from the current 60 to 62 years. Sources said that an in-principle decision has been taken in this regard and the department of personnel and training (DoPT) has begun the work to implement the same. A formal announcement to this effect is expected this year itself. The last time the government extended the retirement age of central government employees was in 1998.
